What are the issues universities face when empowering students for their future professional life and civic engagement? MCI Innsbruck argues that the challenge is not so much what skills we need to provide (there is a fairly sound agreement on the needs), but how to support students in gaining these skills in higher education. Listen to Regina Obexer, who presents her arguments on how to engage both students and staff, and how to transform the curricula to better equip students with skills for their future professional life and civic engagement.
The video was created as part of the EUA Learning & Teaching Initiative, where MCI Innsbruck collaborates in one of the thematic peer groups.
Under this initiative, EUA also organises the first European Learning & Teaching Forum on 28-29 September 2017 that will facilitate the exchange of experience on learning and teaching in higher education among EUA members and other interested stakeholders. This event is in collaboration with the CPU and hosted by UPMC.
