The Modi Government has completed a year in office. A lot of new Schemes/Programmes were launched in the last one year. Everyday we can see advertisements about them in the newspapers bearing the Tagline - “Saal Ek Shuruaat Anek”. In fact, the Economic Survey (2015-16) goes on to say that the “JAM Trinity” has the ability of “ Wiping Every Tear from Every Eye”.
There are other programmes such as Make in India, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan too. With so many New Government programmes, UPSC has a field day because it can put up a lot of questions about them. In the previous few years, questions have regularly featured in the Prelims and up to 10 questions have been asked in a single year’s paper from this area.
Since most of the Government programmes are channelized through the Deputy Commissioner and other Civil Servants, a deep understanding of them is sine qua non for an aspiring civil servant too.
What is the “JAM Trinity”? Can it really wipe every tear from every eye? What are the other schemes? Is it old wine in a new bottle? Are they in anyway responsible for the positive sentiment in the economy? What questions can UPSC frame on these schemes?
We believe that our Current Affairs Lecture Series can help IAS aspirants prepare for CSE in a manner which the UPSC examination requires. Please note that for any further queries or to discuss how to align your preparation strategy as per UPSC requirements (also with respect to CSAT), please feel free to write us on targetias@byjusclasses.com
